Fishing the surf in La Ribera

From the moment you arrive at Lighthouse Point you can kick off those shoes and settle into the Baja Sur pace of life. Your biggest decision will be what time do you want to get up in the morning. Rise early if you want to join Jeff for an early surfcasting sesh, where any delicious species caught are going into the cooler. Or sleep in a bit. The sight casting game doesn’t start until the sun gets higher in the bluebird sky. Either way you will be served breakfast outside by the pool or on the rooftop deck under the palapa.
While you are sipping your coffee, Jeff is rigging rods and loading the side by side with all the provisions for a day on the beach. Chef will pack your lunches, snacks and plenty of beverages. Your gonna need those after sprinting down the beach after a cruising pack of Jacks or a Grande Roosterfish. This fishing experience will burn calories, get the adrenaline flowing and is highly addictive. There is a primal sense that comes over you once you spot your first feeding critter. Listen to Jeff’s calming voice as he spots fish further away than you can imagine. When the ATV stops, its time to get ready to cast. If the fish are out of reach Jeff will throw a top water plug without hooks known as a “teaser”. Often times this attracts the feeding fish and they will follow it until they are in range to present your fly. No matter what strategy is used the pursuit is absolutely trilling!
As the light gets lower you will be overcome with sadness. The window of seeing fish is closing in and it is time to head in. Grab a shower and relax in your air conditioned room or take a dip in the pool while you enjoy some Ranch water & tasty snacks. Chef will have dinner ready as the sun drops down below the horizon. A fun filled day on the Baja sand will ensure a sound sleep. Sweet dreams of a Pez Gallo charging your fly is all you need to get up and do it all over again.

Shuttle services can be arranged ($150 each way) to and from Los Cabos International Airport (1 hour) If you would like to rent a car you are welcome to do so.
This intimate experience is limited to a maximum of 3 Anglers
5 days fishing / 6nights accommodations
Meals are provided daily (One night on the town with Jeff)
Booze is not included (however, the first bottle of Tequila is on us )… Wine arrangements can be made..
