Flats Fishing for Bonefish

Fly into Nassau and take in the Island vibes. The next day you will hop on an Island jumper and arrive on the island of Andros. So many shades of blue meet the horizon with flats as far as the eye can see. One of our guides once told us “This is the closest you will ever get to Heaven!” and we all agree!!!

Over the last few years we have fallen in love with Andros and have made great friends with many of the locals. Through our connections, we have been given access to a new lodge that is being built in Cargill Creek, we are happy to say we will be using this lodge for 2025! We will be working with some of the best guides in the area and other locals to supporting the island’s rich hospitality community! The Travel Creel crew will shop in Nassau and fly over with the goods. The seafood will of course come right from the water you will be fishing, so expect Conch, Grouper and Snapper in the menu rotation.

The Bonefishing here is top notch. Average size is in the 5 pound class with the possibility everyday of running into the elusive Bahamian Permit, Trigger Fish, Tarpon, and other fun flats critters feeding on fleeing crustaceans. Bahamas flats fishing is great for beginner anglers while offering challenges to the most experienced anglers as well. This is a year-round fishery but we do not recommend July or August because of the heat.

Come eat some conch fritters and sip on some rum. Andros is an island dream come true!!

Trip Notes:

• Get in a day early and overnight in Nassau - then take a jumper flight to Fresh Creek on Andros **This hotel stay and taxis are not included in your trip. We will share our network of taxi drivers and hotels close to the airport. There are also options to fly directly into Fresh Creek. We will go over your travel details with you during the booking process

• Once you arrive on Andros we will shuttle you around. No need for a rental car.

• 5 nights accommodations on Andros/ 4 Days guided flats fishing.

• Breakfasts, box lunches, and family style dinners prepared daily by the Creel Crew.

• Airfare, booze, Bahamas fishing licenses, gratuities are not included.
