- Travel Creel is back in Puerto Rico for 2025 -

As a U.S. Territory, Puerto Rico couldn’t be easier for folks from the mainland to explore. No need for a passport or to stop at Customs, plus untapped fishing opportunities abound. Over the last few years, “No Name Lodge” has been operating as a small “pop-up” style lodge… Right up our alley! This badass location combines access to local seafood, roadside pineapple stands you can smell from the car, tons of history and a unique, colorful culture with world-class permit and tarpon fishing!! Just you wait….

“No Name Lodge” is situated right in the Boquerón Marina, just a short walk from the lively downtown strip, which highlights authentic Puerto Rican cuisine and culture. Cruise across the marina’s private walking bridge from the lodge for a night on the town. On our final night of your trip, we will ALL head over to one of our local friend’s establishments to share a meal. Travel Creel will be preparing every other meal during your stay, each one featuring the best ingredients in the area and locally caught treats from the sea.

Start your fishing days by loading into the truck with your guide for a drive to the boat ramp. After a short boat ride, you are in the zone- chasing tarpon or taking shots at wary permit. The tarpon range in size; most from 15-40lbs, with many that have NEVER even seen a fly… Each week, tarpon well over 100 lbs are hooked… There are monsters around! Permit, well, they are still permit… Fishing can be done both from skiffs and on foot.

Fish. Eat. Sleep. Repeat….

Chef Joshua has invested the time in exploring all the best offerings within Boquerón and the surrounding area. As a small fishing village, Boquerón provides access to delicious local seafood. Pairing this with locally sourced treasures, plus a few gems brought in from the states, is where Travel Creel Hospitality truly shines. For dinner the final night, your Creel Crew and the “No Name” guides and staff will join in for a true immersive experience, as we all dine out at a nearby restaurant owned by one of our local Puerto Rico friends*.
